The splice box is one of the very important equipment in the construction of the optical cable line project, and it has an important impact on the quality of the optical cable line as well as its service life. OPGW cable has wide application, it has many fiber cores, like OPGW 96, 48, 24, etc. Concerning OPGW, we will introduce the usage and installation skills of OPGW joint box in this article.
l Select the sealing ring with the smallest inner diameter according to the outer diameter of the optical cable, and sleeve the two sealing rings on the optical cable.
Put the optical cable into the corresponding entry hole.Connect the shield and ground.
l Wrap the self-adhesive sealing tape between the two sealing rings so that the sealing tape is wound to be flush with the outer diameter of the sealing ring to form a sealed end of the optical cable.Press the sealed end of the fiber optic cable into the fiber optic cable entry hole.
l Use the hose clamp to pass through the fiber optic cable reinforcing rib fixing seat and the cable core support, and fix the fiber optic cable on the base of the connector box. Tighten the hose clamp screw until the hose clamp is tightened.
Tie a nylon cable tie on the optical cable and cut off the excess length.
l Please use plugs to seal the other unused optical cable holes. Sealing tape is also wrapped around the plug.
l Wrap the reinforcing member on the countersunk screw of the splice tray support and press it tightly.
l For welding and coiling, it must be firmly bonded with tape.
l To buckle the cover, be sure to pay attention not to squeeze the sealing ring crooked.
l The screws should be tightened to prevent the optical cable from falling out.
