What Are The Classifications Of Power Equipment?
There are many electrical equipment in the power system. According to their different roles in operation, they are usually divided into electrical primary equipment and electrical secondary equipment.
Electric primary equipment
The equipment that directly participates in the production, transformation, transmission, distribution and consumption of electrical energy is called electrical primary equipment, and mainly includes:
Equipment for electric energy production and conversion, such as generators, motors, transformers, etc.;
Switching appliances that connect and disconnect circuits, such as circuit breakers, disconnect switches, contactors, fuses, etc.
Current-carrying conductors and gas insulated equipment. Such as bus bars, power cables, insulators, wall bushings, etc.
Devices that limit over-current or over-voltage, such as current-limiting reactors, lightning arresters, etc.
Transformer type equipment: reduce the high voltage and large current in the primary circuit for use by measuring instruments and relay protection devices, such as voltage transformers and current transformers
Power secondary equipment
In order to protect and ensure the normal operation of electrical primary equipment, equipment that measures, monitors, controls, and adjusts its operating state is called electrical secondary equipment. There are mainly various measuring meters, various relay protection and automatic devices, DC power supply equipment, etc.
