Spiral Vibration Dampers have a helically formed damping section sized for interplay of damper and cable to provide the action/reaction motion that opposed the natural vibration wave. A smaller gripping section gently grips the cable so that cable and fiber are not damaged or distorted and there is no optical signal loss.

Spiral vibration dampers enable to scale down high frequency vibrations on medium spans (from 90 to 250m). Trecommended for installation on round optical cables, closeby helical dead-ends.
These spiral vibration dampers are made of a PVC with a neat surface finish. This last one contributes at preserving the outer sheath of cables. The helical shape of the spiral enables to reduce vibrations caused by the span length or ofcaeolian nature. One spiral extremity is used as a winding point around the cable, while the other one enables to dampen the vibration beyond a certain amplitude.
