Bonding assemblies are used in combination with dead end and suspension clamps to provide a path to ground from the Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) or Overhead Ground Wire (OHGW) to the support structure. AFL offers several bonding assemblies, including aluminum bonding wire, Copperclad bonding wire, tinned copper flexible braided bonding strap and tin-plated copper bonding wire. Most assemblies are available in a variety of lengths, terminal bend angles and lug sizes.

ALUMINUM BONDING WIRE(BWAL SERIES)
Aluminum bonding wire is one of the most versatile offerings in bonding wire that curently offers. This series contains a 4/018-stranded aluminum wire that is moderately flexible. This bonding wire has an ampacity of 383 amps. it comes in lengths of 24", 36"40", 60" and 68". Another feature that this series includes is the ablity to have one or two terminal ends, with the option to have differentterminal sizes on either end if necessary. The terminals come with 3/8", 1/2", 5/8"or 34" holes and can include hardware for any othese sizes as wel. The hardware incudes a 2" bolt,
